The halls and garden of the Sorolla Museum will be filled with verses by more than 20 poets.

Celebrated since 1999 to honor poets and increase the visibility of this art, World Poetry Day is celebrated again on Thursday, March 21. For this reason, the Ámbito Cultural of El Corte Inglés and La Piscifactoría Laboratorio de Creación have organized a meeting of poets at the Sorolla Museum, where you can enjoy the best verses while you admire the old lodging of the Valencian artist.

The Spanish actress and presenter Pastora Vega will be in charge of opening this free event, under the name of ‘Poetry takes the Sorolla Museum’, which will take place between 12.30 and 14.30 pm. A total of 22 poets will participate.

Among the participants are the poets Ernesto Delgado, Eudris Planche, Reiniel Pérez, Marta Vicente Antolín and Raquel Vázquez. In the evening, starting at 7 p.m., in the Ámbito Cultural hall (located in Plaza de Callao), you can enjoy a tribute to poetry and music, with the participation of different groups and styles, in an event directed by the poet and cultural manager Gonzalo Escarpa.

You can also enjoy readings of ecopoetry and different classic poems, as well as performances by artists such as Necorita, Gonzalo Hormigo, Edith Salazar and the Chilean band Emilia y Pablo. You can consult the complete program in this link.

The event promises to be a unique celebration of poetic art, combining the beauty of the written word with music and performance. From intimate readings to inspiring musical performances, this day will be an opportunity to celebrate creativity and artistic expression. Don’t miss it!
