Yesterday, March 30, in Madrid, the first official pre-party for Eurovision 2024 took place.
For the seventh time, the Spanish capital invited all participants of the music contest to present their songs to fans and followers of the competition.
This party, called PrePartyES 2024, attracted a lot of attention this year. Why?
1. Representatives from 28 participating countries took part in the party, an absolute record in terms of the percentage of participating countries in Eurovision (this year there are 37). That is, almost 80% of all Eurovision 2024 contestants took to the stage at La sala La Riviera on March 30.
2. This was the first official party of Eurovision 2024. For the first time, viewers had the opportunity to hear the contest participants perform live, as until that moment many of them had only presented their music videos. Therefore, it was truly possible to evaluate the contestants’ vocal abilities. It was also important to observe how the artists behaved on stage, how they presented their songs, and how they interacted with the audience. Participants, favorites, and surprises of Eurovision 2024 according to PrePartyES 2024 in Madrid.
The hosts of the Saturday party in Madrid were last year’s participant of the Eurovision 2023 contest and the local favorite from Slovenia, Bojan Cvjetićanin, who last year represented Slovenia as part of the group Joker Out. By the way, he prepared quite well for the contest. His partner at the party was Víctor Escudero.

Who was in the first half of the PrePartyES Madrid concert and how did they do?
The party was opened by:
– Finland: Windows95Man with a super catchy and provocative song,
– Germany: Isaak,
– Malta: Sarah Bonnici,
– Moldova: Natalia Barbu: these countries are surprises of the contest, as they have not yet received much attention in the betting. But Natalia Barbu from Moldova sings incredibly impressively! She is clearly a favorite of the contest and currently one of the most underrated participants.

In the middle of the concert, the stage was taken over by the representatives of San Marino in 2024, the group Megara. The collective is well known to the Spanish public: they were one of the favorites of last year’s contest, BenidormFest 2023. They also intended to participate in BenidormFest 2024, but their application was not selected, and they decided to try their luck in the open selection of San Marino and won! Of course, the audience greeted them very warmly, and it seems we know who the Spanish viewers will give 10 points to this year at Eurovision 2024.
