The answer to this question is sought to be provided by the gastronomic festival “Ruta Aperol Spritz”. It invites you to try this vibrant and refreshing drink at 5 different locations from May 8 to June 29:
“Explore the city, the best terraces, enjoying an Aperol!” – that’s the motto of this event.
So, our alcoholic beverage route is as follows:
- Aperol Talks at Terraza Colón (Pza. Colón) – every second Thursday of the month. The cocktail is served accompanied by homemade guacamole with beet hummus and tortilla chips. Live music, entertainment program. You can also win tickets to Venice and many other prizes. (the latter, by the way, applies to all locations) Ticket (cocktail and appetizer) – 10 euros.
- Aperol with appetizers at Mercado de San Ildefonso – May 18 and June 15. Here you can enjoy this invigorating drink with a mini squid sandwich. The market is decorated in the style of London street food markets. Ticket (cocktail and appetizer) – 8 euros.
- Aperol Spritz at Mamá Campo in Chamberí – May 25 and June 22. Here you can taste the Italian cocktail with Russian salad and gildas (a traditional Spanish tapa of pitted olives and several spicy green peppers with salted anchovy fillet, skewered on a wooden stick). Ticket (cocktail and appetizer) – 8 euros.
- Aperol at Café del Río – June 1 and 29 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Here the drink is served with cheese and salmon toast. Café del Río is one of the best places with a stunning view of Madrid-Río. Ticket (cocktail and appetizer) – 8 euros.
- Mercato Italiano invites you to have an Aperol – May 11 and June 8. Here the Italian aperitif from the festival is served with a plate of grana cheese and tarallo. Mercato Italiano is a shop-restaurant with a 100% Italian vibe for gourmets in Chamberí. Ticket (cocktail and appetizer) – 8 euros.
